A member of Claremont, actually called Mona Lisa Baker, posed as her famous namesake did in the Leonardo Da Vinci painting. Members painted a backdrop based on that painting, and Mona posed in front of it for the group over a 6 sessions. 20 members took part, and the results where exhibited at exhibitions at Claremont as well as at an Islington Cafe Gallery. The Islington Tribune wrote a related article in their 10th April 2009 edition. The paintings were all in oil paint, and the course served as an introduction to oil painting techniques.
